Planning Authority Cheshire West & Chester

Planning consent was granted for seven new Affordable Dwellings on Green Belt land adjacent to the Hanging Gate Pub in Weaverham.

The cottages were designed to match existing cottages within the village to ensure that the new houses would blend into the local street scene.

The planning application was supported by a Housing Needs Survey and is subject to a 106 Agreement. Although the site fell within the Northwich Urban Area, the local authority considered that the local housing need outweighed the harm of new buildings within the Green Belt.

Hayes and Partners completed the working drawings and conducted monthly site inspections during construction.
